Sorry I didn’t post sooner, I’ve been really busy. Anywho…

Friday night my family and I went to the mall, and we took that opportunity to shop for our Halloween costumes. Can you guess what I decided to go as? DUN DUN DUN! ...DOOF! AND I GOT MY SISTER TO AS PERRY!!! 8DDD
I already had a black turtleneck and black shoes, so I just had to buy a lab coat, grey pants, a brown wig and a fake pointy nose. My sis got some teal pajamas, a brown fedora and a fake duckbill. We tried to convince my parents to go Trick-or-Treating with us this year, but they didn’t want to ‘cause they thought they were too old. (Let me make this clear, people: You are NEVER too old for Trick-or-Treating. )
Saturday evening we got our costumes on, I put on some eye shadow under my eyes, made my sister a platypus tail out of cardboard, and she put on my dad’s snorkeling fins, which happened to be yellow, and made it almost impossible for her to walk with. I told her to use her yellow sneakers, but she told me that that way it looked more realistic.

So off we went on our quest for candy. I swear, people were looking at us in such a weird way it was CRAZY! And at our first house the old lady that opened the door almost died from laughter! But in our way down the block we ran into John and his brother Roger, who were dressed as Mephiles and Shadow, respectively. As soon as I saw him I said “That is so predictable.”, and he said “Look who’s talking.”. xD

Although people were stunned by our costumes, we still got a lot of candy. Needles to say that as soon as we got home we stuffed our faces and refused to share. That’s where we went wrong, ‘cause by Sunday morning our stomachs were aching so badly we could barely get up. We spent the whole day in the bathroom (thank God my house has two bathrooms… ), and I still wasn’t feeling very well by Monday. Was it worth it, you ask? Yes. Yes it was.

A few days ago, I was feeling terribly suffocated in my own house. My mom was vacuuming, my dad was fixing some things in his study (which involved drilling, hammering, etc, etc… ) and my sister was being a royal pain in the neck. I was trying to concentrate but I JUST COULDN’T! I grabbed my things and asked my mom if I could go out for while so I could get some fresh air. She allowed it, and, after bombarding me with the same old recommendations (no talking to strangers, always looking before crossing, blah blah blah… ) and making me take my sister along, I made my way out of the concentration camp I call my house.

We went to a park not very far from my house. I told Jenny to go play with some kids while sat at one of the tables. A few minutes later, I got bored and started doodling in my sketchbook. All of a sudden, a boy around my age who was walking by glanced at my doodles and stopped. He complimented my art and introduced himself. His name is John and he’s 17. We talked about our likes and I found out we like all the same shows! He likes “ Phineas & Ferb”, “The Emperor’s New School”, “The Penguins Of Madagascar”, “League Of Super Evil”… but what he REALLY likes is “Sonic the Hedgehog”. He’s addicted to the games and the shows. And he draws REALLY well! He was the one who drew that Mephiles pic I posted a while ago. He told me he knew about DeviantART but he doesn’t have a scanner, so he can’t post his drawings. When I told him I would post his Mephiles drawing and give him credit he couldn’t thank me enough. X)

Minutes later my sister came back to introduced me to a friend she had made called Agnes. She recognized Perry in one of my drawings and asked if she could see my other drawings. After she saw my entire sketchbook she ran off to call some of her other friends, and before I knew it I was surrounded by a bunch of 11-year-olds. After seeing my sketchbook about five times, they all started talking at the same time, which was very disturbing. As they got louder, Agnes lost it and shouted “SHUT UP!!!” so loudly that she almost broke my eardrum. And she was standing right next to me! Dx

Now I go there every afternoon, including weekends, ‘cause I promised them they could see me draw. Last Monday a kid saw me drawing Voltar and we started talking about what happened in the episodes and imagining Doomageddon appearing in the most random places. Yesterday when I had to go home I told them “Don’t worry! I’ll be back tomorrow!” and they all went “YAAAAY!!!”, and John said “You have quite an audience.”. I was like “Yup. ”.

At least I’m popular now.

So yesterday my sister Jenny turned 11 and we all went to the Hard Rock Cafe to celebrate. This was a total surprise ‘cause my dad just told us we were going out to dinner, but I had no idea WHERE we were going. I was glad we went there ‘cause it’s one of my favorite places in the planet!

After dinner we gave Jenny her presents. I gave her a Hello Kitty t-shirt with a matching wallet, my dad gave her $20, a pink skirt and a new watch, and my mom got her the new (gack!) Hannah Montana CD. The only songs there I like are “7 Things” and “Hoedown Throwdown”. I’m considering making an AMV with that last one…

Later we stopped by the gift shop and my dad told us we could each pick something we liked. I got a black t-shirt with “Hard Rock Cafe” written in glitter, Jenny got a punk teddy bear and my parents decided to get some t-shirts for themselves.

It sure was a great night.
